Gemma Atkinson Launches Again

Gemma Atkinson

Gemma Atkinson seems to be the girl that launches tons of products and places. Every time I see her, she’s launching something. Recently she attended the launch of the Great Holiday Grab Experience at Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe, England and she looked bodacious as usual. Hmmm, I think I just figured out more of this marketing stuff. Just follow my thinking here and see where I’m going with it. Guys like boobs. Guys buy stuff. Attract guys who buy stuff using boobs…

I think I’m on to something big here.

Today was a gorgeous day for Super Museum Sunday. Savannah area museums offered free admission for the hundreds of people who turned out to enjoy the arts. My husband Rob and I were among them, and we had a great time. We visited the Jepson Center for the Arts, the Telfair Museum and the Owens-Thomas House.

Part of the fun was walking from museum to museum. The weather was perfect, everyone was out walking through the squares, and some of the trees have even begun to flower. The sound of laughter floating through the air was invigorating.

Lofts on Broughton Grand Opening

This weekend was the Grand Opening of the Lofts on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah. My husband and I went, taking along three friends of ours. What a great turnout! While we were there, there was a steady stream of people coming and going, and there were at least 100 people there at all times. The event was catered by Locos, with entertainment by Trae Girley and a great artwork display by Penelope Miller.

Several completed lofts were open for touring, while the main event - the cocktail party - was held in a giant unfinished corner space with exposed beams, brick walls and a great view of Broughton Street.

Sick World

“Wal-Mart: Save money. Live better.” This sickens me. Not only in light of all the reading I’ve been doing lately, but as an overarching theme; I am sickened by Wal-Mart. And lots of other things.

If the market follows our lead, friends and neighbors, we are doing a fuck-awful job.

So… how do we fix it?

Starting today, viewers within the United States are able to watch full length episodes of Lost, Desperate Housewives, Alias and Commander in Chief on the ABC website.

This new feature is being tried out during May and June, so give it a shot and see if you like it.
